Sarah
This is Sarah and her sister Shayna. They were very lucky sisters who found a loving forever home that adopted both of them. They are growing up to be big beautiful girls! Thank goodness their new mommy opened her heart and home to both of these sweeties!
Tommy
My family and I became fosters for dogs in January 2007.We already had 2 of our
own dogs and wanted to help other dogs find the love and homes they so
deserve. In February we had already fostered and adopted out several dogs and
were waiting for 2 other fosters to arrive, when we were told they were both ill
and would have to wait to be transported for a week or two.In the mean time the
director Sue Hollenbach asked if I would foster a chihuahua mix until she could
find another to take him. This poor guy had been an owner surrender from a man
who had him since he was a pup. This poor man was on oxygen and due to the hair
clogging his filter had to give him up.Both Tommy and his owner were
devistated. After hearing this story we decided we would continue to foster him
as he had been bounced around numerous times with fosters.Tommy was 6 years old
and not as desirable as puppies would be.We fell in love with him and he made
himself right at home with our 2 pugs. After a few week!
s my daughter Elaina 13 years old had begged us to keep him as she was head over
heels for him as well.Elaina was going through an extremely tough time as our
oldest son Patrick was being deployed for a second time to Iraq.On the very day
he left we made it official and surprised Elaina in the evening with the
approved adoption papers.Tommy has been a blessing to us all. What a joy he
brings to our whole family daily.Tommy thrives on all the love , attention ,
walks and car rides he so dearly loves. We could have never hand picked a sweeter
, well adjusted and well mannered guy.I so often want to thank the man who
turned Tommy over so that he could have a good life and also to let him know
that we appreciate the wonderful job he did with Tommy .Thanks to Ritchie County
Humane Society in West Virginia for letting Homeward Bound Rescue in PA foster
and adopt out so many loving dogs.
Cleo
Cleo, who now answers to Lacey Cleopatra, is from a litter of Yellow Lab mix puppies who were rescued from West Virginia. The were all adopted out to their forever homes and are very happy. Lacey is doing great in her new home and enjoying all the one-on-one attention she gets from her new family. You can see more of Lacey's pictures by clicking on the link to her website.
Fletcher
Fletcher is a gorgeous Yellow Labrador Retriever rescued from a county shelter in Virginia. He is having a wonderful time with his new brother and sister. Now he always has someone to play with and needless to say he is quite spoiled. You can see more of Fletcher's pictures by clicking on the link to his website.
Lexie
Little Lexie (the one on the left) is a golden retriever mix that was rescued by Homeward Bound from a high kill shelter in WV. She has really grown up to be a beautiful little girl. She recently took her first trip to the beach with her brother Joey and their parents...they had a great time running and playing in the sand. You can see more pictures of their trip as well as Lexie's puppy pictures by clicking on the link to her web page. Another happy ending!!!
